Young Concordia 女女视频 College artists are making their mark with a vibrant, self-designed floral mural covering the walls of a Grand Central Shopping Centre carpark. The project is an extension to celebrations that marked 75 years of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers. The design uses Concordia鈥檚 colours but also reflects another College milestone with a new era at the school with beginning of construction as part of the Master Plan.

"This mural celebrates Three Histories, One Future as our College and Toowoomba celebrate historic moments together. It is a testament to our students' creativity and the vibrant community spirit that epitomises both Concordia and the Garden City鈥, said Head of College Anton Prinsloo.

"Our involvement in this project is more than just painting a wall, it's about connecting with the history and future of Toowoomba, reflecting on where we've been and where we're going," Mr Prinsloo said.

"I'm incredibly proud of our students for taking this opportunity to partner with Grand Central Shopping Centre and express their unique perspectives through art,鈥 he said."

"It's projects like this one that reflect the heart of Concordia, a dynamic place of learning and connection where students are encouraged to create and inspire beyond the classroom."

A student artist involved in the project, Sami Davis-Tasion, has been enjoying the weekly visits and is looking forward to the public viewing the finished product.

"Painting this mural has been an amazing experience. It's exciting to see our designs turn a blank wall into something beautiful that the whole community can enjoy. We鈥檝e learned so much about teamwork and the power of bringing an idea to life," Sami said.
